Many brides happen to have the bust, waist and hips measurements that fall in different sizes from the size chart. Normally, you will be told to order the size that fit your largest part, however this may change the whole look of the dress after alterations. To avoid this, we can simply order the dress with special measurements based on the standard size, this not only helps you to maintain the look of the dress but also save money from big alterations.
We welcome walk-ins, but you may have to wait especially on weekends. We highly recommend you to book an appointment in advance. You can either call or email us to book for a consultation. If there is a specific gown that you would like to try, please do ring first and we will let you know if we have the sample gown in your size.
Please do not wear any make-up and wear proper underwear.
For weekdays appointments, we normally carry on the appointment as long as it needs if there is no other appointment coming up. Every weekend consultation is limited to an hour and a half. We are happy to extend the appointment for additional half an hour if there is none waiting. Otherwise another subsequent visit will be arranged up on request so you can come back to try more or retry your favourites and discuss further details to get your gown made.
Normally, we keep every design in a size range between 8 and 22. Not a surprising question, we understand that every bride wants to look her best on her special day. In this case, we will try our best to give you a longer period of time. We still recommend brides to start the process one year prior to the wedding date in order to find out the right design that suits the body shape and the wedding. The workroom will be preparing all the materials and paper patterns according to your first body measurements and get them on hold. Your consultant will discuss with you about the best time for your final body size check. The workroom will start making the dress with the updated order.
To avoid big alterations, we always advise our brides to order the gown with the Special Size System. It’s extremely important that you do not lose too much or gain weight or get pregnant. One appointment will be arranged when the dress arrives in shop to indicate what alterations should be made. You need to arrange your own alterations with a local dressmaker.
50% of the dress value is required as a deposit in order to start the process and the rest of the balance is required to be paid on the first fitting day.
Choosing your wedding gown is a huge event. We understand that the majority of brides have several special people who they want to share the experience with. However, please keep in mind that having too many opinions can be distracting and confusing which is something that you definitely don’t want when looking for your dress. Try to choose 2 or 3 guests who know you and your style very well and whose opinion you trust the most. Please let us know if you are bringing more than 3 people so we can book you in a bigger changing room.
Please keep in mind that this is your special day to find your dream dress and children may distract you. We request you to bring children who are able to remain still for an extended period of time, not only so they do not take attention away from you, but also for safety reasons.
The steam costs $45 and $40 to add hook-up bustle. Please arrange a time and drop off the dress at least 3 working days before you pick it up.
Sorry, we cannot keep hundreds of important gowns together in one place. You need to find a suitable place to store your gown for a short period of time. You’re always welcome to bring it back before your wedding for a free Steam Service.
